So here’s another one of those things that just stumps me..
The Story:
I’ve booked a one way flight to Japan for $400 AUD on Jetstar. Which is basically a steal at nearly half the normal price of a one way ticket would cost on JAL or Qantas.
My original plan was to stay in Japan for 90 days, and then travel on to Singapore or any other Asian destination where Australian’s are granted visa’s on arrival (Korea, Thailand etc).
Needless to say that plan is no longer going to suit my needs, being that I now need to return to Australia. So naturally I start looking for a One Way flight home from Tokyo to Brisbane or the Gold Coast, and since I got a cheap flight with Jetstar to start with I thought why not try them again.
So I hit their website hit the one way radio button, select Tokyo, select Gold Coast, enter my departure date and away I go..
50,810 Yen?? Are you kidding me?? That’s around $800 AUD at current exchange rates. My flight there was half that price..
Okay so let’s check this out.. What if I had booked a return ticket to start with, in AUD??
$440.81 AUD.. That’s more like it.
Half the price.. Same flight, same day.. Departing from the same airport, arriving at the same destination, same website.. WTF?
Well, I guess I’ll just have to call the airline and see if I can get my flight changed from a one way ticket to a return ticket.
<sarcasm>FUN</sarcasm>
Been a little slow on the updates, I’ve been travelling as always.. I recently spent the a few days in Sydney, doing my usual.. Dancing, shopping, dinner with friends, and of course work.
Most notably, I caught up with Saori, who’s always a lot of fun, it’s a shame I don’t get to see her as often as I would like. I made a new friend in Yulia, a Nagoya based friend of a friend, whom I will hopefully see in Japan early next year.
On the Japan front, I’ve booked my ticket and will be leaving Australia for an undisclosed period of time on the 17th of January 2009. At this stage my travels will take me to Japan, Singapore & Thailand with the possibility of visiting Korea.
On the work front, I’ve been experimenting with AdWords semi-new Content Ad Builder. So far I haven’t had great results, but it’s only a matter of time till I work out the best way to use it.
I’ve also been recording videos for a new project that we’ve been working on internally. No specifics just yet, but it’s sure to be a big deal.
Your interrupted every 10 – 15 minutes with a small, but equally annoying task from a co-worker or client?? Yeah??
Today is one of those days.. I’ve accomplished ZERO today!! Absolutely nothing!!!
I figure I’ll go home about 3pm and get some real work done..
So, I’m a bit of a sucker for Jordan Sneakers, I own a few pairs of Jordan 3′s, 5′s, & 8′s, well about 25 pairs to be exact. No a lot in the grand scheme of the shoe game, but enough to keep 15 pairs in boxes, and never wear them out.
Lately I haven’t really been felling a lot of the Jordan release, simply because most of them are mash-up’s (AJF Series), where I prefer the original or at least the retro+ versions.
That was until I saw the Melo M5.

I’m definitely going cop this shoe when it drops later in the month.
